One of Dubliners’ favourite artists is Walter Osborne (1859-1903] who trained in mainland Europe. Here’s one of his French pictures. I’d happily steal his work if no one is looking! This is Apple Gathering, Quimperlé (1883) [1]

From EARTHSEED: THE BOOKS OF THE LIVING

Choose your leaders

with wisdom and forethought.

To be led by a coward

is to be controlled

by all that the coward fears.
To be led by a fool

is to be led

by the opportunists

who control the fool.

To be led by a thief

is to offer up

your most precious treasures

to be stolen.
To be led by a liar

is to ask

to be told lies.

To be led by a tyrant

is to sell yourself

and those you love

Artist! Quote with your blue art! 🩵 — #kleineKunstklasse
This is an abstract mixed-media artwork dominated by various shades of blue.
The piece features the word "BLUE" typed repeatedly in a grid-like pattern across the entire canvas. Overlaid on the text are bold, expressive washes and splatters of blue, teal, and navy ink or paint, forming a large, distorted "X" shape that radiates from the center. The background shows hints of white and textured paper through the layers of pigment.
