Felt so good to be part of a big crowd telling the Hudson Park River Trust to cancel its ICE parking contract Special shout-outs to the organizers, the band, the parks worker and several other fantastic speakers, and a worker at a certain business who gave us free beer 🍻

A blockade is an act of war. This is a non-controversial definition. An embargo is strictly economic. Once it is enforced on outside nations by force it is a blockade. The blackouts are because of the war on Cuba. The food crisis is because of the war on Cuba. Remind media and hold them to truth.

one definition of power in international relations is when the terms of the conflict are framed as which country can withstand pain the longest, and pain for one means massive bombardment, death, and suffering and pain for the other means slightly higher gas prices. Also a definition of racism.

Please note most federal grants *required* information on how the grants would benefit underserved or understudied groups. If you applied for a grant, you *had to* include something that would speak to diversity and equity.

The "purity culture" bit of it was particularly cringe, but what bothers me most about Cory Doctorow's post is that he imagined the reader as someone having a series of particular opinions then proceeded to antagonize the reader. Not a professional writer but I'm pretty sure that's a bad idea.

New #Union at #Wikimedia is organizing using a #SolidarityUnionism model. What does that mean? "Solidarity unionism is about organizing whether we're recognized or not, whether there's a contract or not, and... settling direct worker issues by the workers." Smart strategy for a global workplace.

Senator Tim Scott should resign from his position as chair of the @NRSC for attacking President Trump today as a racist over a meme he didn't even post himself.
Someone who is willing to give the Democrats ammunition like that in the middle of a midterm election year is too stupid to be in charge.
I warned President Trump it was a terrible idea for Tim Scott to be chair of the NRSC and he told me to "give him a chance". I always said it was a bad idea.
Donald Trump is WAY TOO NICE to these traitors.

The national #Democrats are spineless. They gave Trump two weeks to keep terrorizing #Minnesota while they try to come up with policy changes for #ICE. In two weeks how many more front doors and car windows will be illegally broken? How many more people illegally detained. How many more dead?
