fuji @fuji.fm · 17/06/2026there’s been a number of pain points for editing tools in doom that have accumulated over the years based on decisions made 20 years ago. there’s also a severe generational knowledge gap that even as well documented as the engines are, there hasn’t really been effective means to share that at large. 130

fuji @fuji.fm · 15/06/2026how it works is you can select multiple floor or ceiling sectors and then generate a "surface map". a surface map is essentially a giant UV atlas that scales dynamically to the selected surfaces. combined compositor layers add on top of it to create the final result. 1103
