I've been estranged from my mom for a few years. It is no secret on either side of my family. At a funeral last week, my cousin's wife stepped into my face and loudly asked, "How's your mom?!" and then faked an apology. So much fun.

I read a few of the pitches and... yeah. We've been down this "reimagining" road. Knights, MAX, Ultimate, Zombies, Ultimate again. One book will break out, Marvel will keep throwing new series out there to try to support the imprint for a year, there will be a 616 crossover next Halloween...

Jane gets exposed to a lethal dose of the memory-wipe drug, setting up a race against time as she suffers hallucinations that revisit the show's main plot points. But the series ends with a "happy family dinner" hallucination that's so saccarine and glaring it neuters everything.
