So, as some of you know, Jess was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2026, right around the time that I lost my job because of DOGE. To say that life decided to give our household both barrels is an understatement. But she decided Day One she was going to beat it. She's tough like that.

Saturday Viewing: RUNNER (2026) Wall to wall action, a little humor, and some tugged heartstrings translate to an enjoyable experience. Alan Ritchson has an everyman quality that he deploys effectively, and Owen Wilson's gift of gab fills the gaps. I was entertained and engaged throughout.

Working on a Lego project in the evenings as a balm for the chaos around us...
