So it's GREEN for GO on the by-election campaign as I begin the long slog to win a place back on the District Council serving the community that I love. I have represented Rodborough on the District Council before and I am proud of my record in service to the Ward in that time.
Campaign leaflet featuring a picture of a man wearing glasses and a brown corduroy baseball cap. He has a grey beard, is wearing a blue jacket and is holding a green Green Party Rosette.

Overlaid on green on the right hand side of the image is the message: "VOTE ROBIN FOR RODBOROUGH Robin is ready to serve YOU on Stroud District Council. Vote for a community leader who puts people before politics.

ROBIN LAYFIELD - Tuesday October 13

Green Party

“The greatest trick the fossil fuel industry ever pulled was convincing us all that it was all our fault” www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
British Petroleum, the second largest non-state owned oil company in the world, with 18,700 gas and service stations worldwide, hired the public relations professionals Ogilvy & Mather to promote the slant that climate change is not the fault of an oil giant, but that of individuals. It’s here that British Petroleum, or BP, first promoted and soon successfully popularized the term “carbon footprint” in the early aughts. The company unveiled its “carbon footprint calculator” in 2004 so one could assess how their normal daily life – going to work, buying food, and (gasp) traveling – is largely responsible for heating the globe.
