I believe collectively, if we start now, we can will USC to lose enough games that they wind up in the Holiday Bowl playing NC State and losing 16-10 on a last second failed safety attempt strip sack scoop and score. Start lighting candles if you can.

The most absolutely massive flex from the state fair exhibit. This quilt is made of 40 years of prize ribbons from various categories at the New Mexico State Fair won by Carol St. Clair Johnson. She also won a prize for this quilt.

satin ribbons

After unexpectedly winning her first blue ribbon for a sewn cape in 1981, Carol St. Clair Johnson developed an enduring love for the New Mexico State Fair. The quilt Fair New Mexico-41 Fair Years incorporates more than six hundred of the ribbons she won at the fair every subsequent year except 2020 (when the fair was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic). Johnson earned ribbons for needlework, knitting, crochet, pies, cookies, cakes, canning, jewelry, flowers, vegetables, and potted plants. The title of the quilt is a reference to the state song, and the design places the state's Zia sun symbol at the center. The quilt earned Johnson yet another ribbon: Best in Category (miscellaneous quilt) at the 2023 New Mexico State Fair.

The Horniman Natural History Gallery features this stunning walrus. It was transported to England, purchased in 1886. There, the taxidermists, having never seen one in the wild, stuffed it until the wrinkles smoothed out. This is a fully inflated walrus, my friends. MAXIMUM WALRUS. (📷: Tom Natt)

It seems I'm actually supposed to use this site to find people who don't share my taste in music and yell at them, but that seems unpleasant and like too much effort, so I'm going to keep doing it wrong.

A man in Indiana made an AT-AT costume for his horse, intending to only get a few pictures before removing it. When he took off the headpiece the horse got upset and insisted that he put it back on, which made the horse happy again. Now the horse isn't allowing him to remove any piece of the costume

Periodic table colored by lickability. 😛
The periodic table color-coded by liability. Most of the elements are green, which means they can be licked. All of the elements along the bottom row, as well as a few other elements are purple, which means you should not lick them. Most of the elements in group one two and 17 are not lickable
