I appreciate the difficulties of editors to secure reviewers. As a reviewer, I also value being able to ask editors, e.g. about deadline extensions or potential conflicts of interest before accepting. "Do-not-reply" emails (or automatic reminders while waiting for an answer) are of limited use.

The ring-shaped DNA molecules can reversibly open and close via diversified lock-and-key domains, enabling controlled formation of mechanical bonds. The study shows that combinatorial synthetic biology can yield compositionally complex soft materials with exotic topological architectures and unique physical characteristics.
