34 years ago, Master painter Mike McVey created the first two pictures. Three years ago, I finished my version…thoughts? #aloadofoldtoby #Warmongers #paintingminiatures #wargames #tabletop #miniatures #gaming #miniaturepainting #wepaintminis #WarhammerCommunity #PaintingWarhammer #Oldhammer

Mike McVey converted Woodelf Hero, picture taken for White Dwarf 148 published in 1992!

Here the same model is described as a Level 10 Hero, something which I still refer to from Oldhammer rule sets.

My version of the great Mike McVey model, I hope here you can get the same flavour as that of the model. I used the a spare attack chariot horse and a different embossed shield. 🛡️ I also made the feathers and mushroom from green stuff.

I have tried to replicate the saddle cloth with green stuff. The lance is a dark elf lance instead….the back banner is made in the same method as Mike, and eagle wing glued to metal wire.
Huge amount of work overall took me a month solid during COVID but the end result is my best ever miniature by a mile!

Give them Marmalade rather than Jam? Is that being far too clever for a politician?

For a country a 100s times more wealthy and 1000 times more powerful Americans spend a very long time commenting on the UK. 😉

I watched the outer limits in the early 90s and they predicted this. It was about a doctor who was developing drugs for older humans life spans. Obviously he takes it too far and we start to grow an eye in the back of our heads….

Tis the season an all that, so if you want to add something macabre to your table for October I have come up with these to help. #Oldhammer #Nerdlings #3DPrinting #Warhammer #Spooky #Halloween

Nine miniature skull idols on a bright green fields, greenskins emerge form the darkness at their base, preparing to sow chaos upon unsuspecting lands.

I’ve been working on some district walls for #TraitorsToll for ages! Finally got them finished over the weekend. I really wanted to conjure some #OldHammer feeling with these and I think I managed that. I still haven’t played a game yet sadly… #nerdlings #wargaming #warhammercommunity

As the ancient Greeks said: "Fucking finally!". My take on my old stripped Ruglud's armoured orcs who according to lore picked up their heavy armour and crossbows from Chaos dwarves. I spent too much money on 15 extra figures, and they were a lot of work for a dodgy result, but here we are... 💁

A sort of finished post, I put a ton of work into the scene for this base so I'm calling it done! Last pic is the Knight Castellan for scale since it's gonna be the model on this base! Fun fact: This base is inspired by my home! #nerdlings #w40k #warhammer #painting #art #miniatures #tabletop
