Water company profits are soaring as raw sewage is being pumped into our waters. The government must bring all water companies back into public ownership: end the unlawful dumping of sewage, and ensure profits are being reinvested back into fixing leaks and building new infrastructure.

So a government can break promises & lie, over a decade, violate one of the main requirements of offsets, additionality, & then practice extortion to deliver a national park, that the public will still end up paying most of the costs for, & it’s all sweet & the Greens are the real troublemakers. 😎

In case you're wondering what Australia's resources minister Madeleine King (left, in the fossil fuel company branded helmet) was up to yesterday, she was literally turning the tap on new fracked gas supply from the Beetaloo Basin.

If the Albanese gov is serious about supporting communities on the frontline of the climate crisis, it must change course and stop approving new coal and gas projects. The era of handouts to polluters, endless extraction and hand-wringing must end. Australia must keep coal and gas in the ground.
