❗️And here we are. Just like expected. A Ukrainian official claimed that during recent talks, US envoys Witkoff and Kushner threatened that Trump could cut off Ukraine from U.S. intelligence if it continued to ignore his requests to stop hitting Russian refineries, Axios tells. US denied. #Ukraine

In primary school (1960s), we learned that mountain areas above 3,000 m altitude in the Alps had eternal snow. I'm afraid we're seeing the end of that. Matterhorn, 4,478 m high, last week.

At the difference of fossil technology, when the solar panel is in operation, the fuel comes for free. Dependence is much lower especially if you take the opportunity of creating the recycling industry.

Beccs is an old fashioned approach 1) gasification or hydrothermal gasification -> syngas 2) syngas -> CH4+CO2 3) CO2+H2O -> CH4 + O2 with energy to store by co electrolysis 4) CH4 + 2 O2 -> CO2 + 2 H2O + electricity by fuel cell (Solid oxide cells are reversible) 5) Mg2SiO4 + 2CO2 -> 2MgCO3

By the way, heat is also the form of inefficiency, even at 25C, inefficiency can be used to heat buildings. Oops 1 increasing efficiency reduces heat availability ;-) Oops 2 Carnot tell us that environment defines the feasible target of inefficiency and it can be used to heat by a heat pump.

Another perspective: 1)negative emissions are needed due to diffuse methane emissions related to climate change and land use 2)direct air capture by nature (photosynthesis) works, captured carbon comes with energy 3)use the energy(exergy): oxidise and mineralize as carbonate for construction CDR?
