OH. right! i get it now!

i get why AI is so depressing to me. because covid already shrunk my world to almost nothing, where almost all of my life revolves around socializing and watching videos on the internet (which is being ruined by AI) and creating creative works through coding (which is being ruined by AI), often using open source tools and libraries (which are being ruined by AI)

i already had so little and now even that is being rotted away before my eyes

I’ve been moving more and more to self hosting but there’s really no good solution for task managers especially around the GTD type system I’ve developed. Everything out there is either too janky or half finished or vibe coded and doesn’t work.

For the past 14 years I’ve run my life from todo apps. I have a Todoist shirt in 2020 they sent me for being in a top 1% user. Then they removed 2 way google cal sync, put the price up, and added an AI chat bot. So I moved to TickTick TickTick have added an AI chatbot. I will be moving again

I woke up today hurting in 3 different ways (migraine, knee pain and arm stiff and painful) I had an email that my car insurance will be cancelled unless I can pay £330 because they fucked up my direct debits when my car got written off in April and the next 2 payments are 3x and 2x normal. I hurt

My health hasn’t been good for a long time, but especially as it declines this year, it’s infuriating how much I can’t do. Want to make food? Cutting an onion is all I can do, but then I’m committed. So making a simple meal is an hours long process with sitting down between every action

Rufus the cat update: Day 1 was mostly hiding, with a little bit of fuss, he warmed up to us, but was scared of exploring. It was a very late night with him. Day 2 he ventured into the scary living room and watched tv with us and had so many pets and snuggles. Explored upstairs and got overwhelmed

I lost my career, medically. I've been applying for PIP since Feb. I'm currently at the appeal stage and DWP is 3 weeks late responding. I can barely stand for more than a few minutes without being in immense pain and fatigued. It kills my hobbies. Painkillers do nothing. But isn't it just so cool?

Crying in my bedroom because I’m in so much pain I can’t think, feeling tired every day because pain disturbs my sleep, but so do my painkillers. It’s not cool. I can’t even do my hobbies most days, and when I do, it comes at a cost. I did not choose this. I do not want this.

Can I choose a post-restoration garlemald? I feel like it’d be a nice and cosy place to live in 50 years or so. Good public transport and I like cold climates. Failing that, Kugane or Sharlayan. Close to water and less vertical than Limsa which my knees would hate.
