In 2017 Universal wanted to start their cinematic "Dark Universe" with a Mummy movie. During the production I was chosen as background artist for a companion game, developed in just 8 months crunch. The movie wasn't just bad but considered worst movie of the year which destroyed the games sales.

I think you're missing luck, imo. You have done everything that you should be doing, afaik. Many streamers (often those who are already successful) will say that success is formulaic, and a result of doing X amount of work and being consistent. While this is good advice, it's never guaranteed

Working on 2D and 3D card effects! The game can handle 750 of the 3D version before dipping into the 60fps range, which is way past my target of ~200 being possible. (the diorama is currently made entirely of 2D sprites, making the layers visible at acute angles, but I could put in a full 3D model)

Seriously, DON’T draw every day. That’s how I developed a repetitive strain injury and had to take an extended break from drawing for months while it healed. That was over a decade ago and it STILL gives me trouble if I draw for a few hours without taking a break. Please, please take breaks 😭
