For some reason my most frequent recurring nightmare theme is having my brakes work very poorly (but not going out entirely) while driving down a steep hill - such that I cannot stop completely but must drive very slowly on some inexorable descent which also inconveniences everyone around me.

Last night at The MADE in Oakland I attended the opening of Access To Tools, an exhibition about how making games affects developers, affects playing games, and round and round. This is a bold step under a new Executive Director for The MADE, and one that makes me very excited for Bay Area gamedevs.

Assets that I made for the 2024 Roguelike Celebration Steam sale page. 🧑‍🎨 The tallish tile size here I'm very fond of. I choose it because it reminds me of the tall grid often in ASCII roguelikes, but it also had some benefits when it came to actually draw the tiles & sprites.
