Before someone immediately thinks “I don’t know of anyone that’s been assaulted like that—!” Shut up. Shut the entire literal fuck up. You absolutely do, but it’s never spoken about for fear of being ostracized and reliving trauma via lines of pointed questioning. It sucks. All this shit sucks.

You don't need to bring awful disingenuous takes from charlatans and ghouls here. They have no idea that you're dunking on them, they don't care that you're dunking on them. All you're doing is ragebaiting and upsetting people who didn't and wouldn't have seen their vile thoughts to begin with.

Emi Sakura's post about PAC is breaking my heart

The first time I spoke with him was in Ireland in 2018. When you're living in an English-speaking country, Japanese suddenly reaches your ears in a startling way. Our conversations always started with his "Otsukaresamade-su." Backstage, I wouldn't sense his presence at all, but then those words would arrive right by my ear like the wind. And so I'd search for him. There's no English phrase that translates it just right—its meaning encompasses hello, long time no see, glad to see you, good work, goodbye, good night, see you later, and all sorts of other things rolled into one. I think it's the kind of greeting that comes from the way he's confronted pro wrestling in Japan. It's time. As always, I grab my bag and climb into the car. I can't believe the show goes on. Today and from here on out, forever, I know I'll keep straining to listen. Thank you, PAC.

I already have been feeling sad today even before the news, but I had managed to hold off breaking down crying until Mustafa posted this…

A post from Mustafa Ali with a picture of PAC glaring at the camera with the caption “Long live the King.
Ben protected and took care of the cruiserweight brothers every week. I will never forget his kindness. I will never forget the feeling of realizing he is the absolute best all around performer I have been in the ring with. I will never forget him standing up to the machine.
I will never forget our King.
Rest easy, Ben.”

Someone was talking about PAC being stoic at meet & greets on Twitter, so it reminded me of this anecdote.

Small child in red flannel and blue jeans standing next to PAC with long hair, wearing black AEW hoodie and shorts. Both are wearing facemasks.

Nolie met PAC at a Dynamite, when AEW was still doing preshow meet and greets.

They both looked each other up and down. Then PAC stoically says “How is your day, little child?”.

When it was picture time, he plainly said “Stand with me in battle” to Nolie.

It was perfect.
