Researching M.202 it became apparent engine & cockpit pics are scarce. Mostly because only 2 examples exhist today. NASM & Italy AF museum. Both hung from ceilings.

Both banks wired up! That was NOT easy and I did mess up the distributors a little but I think the overall effect is worth it. Thinking about doing some fabrication to add some of the fuel and oil lines next #histscalemodels #italiaGB #lamborghini #carmodels

I’m about 93% complete now on the 1/72 scale Eduard F6F-3 Hellcat. Tonight I attached external fuel tank. I worked on getting more zinc chromate showing under the sea blue. Also added some rust weathering along some panel lines. #histscalemodels #scalemodels

I’m about 92% complete now on the 1/72 scale Eduard F6F-3 Hellcat. Tonight I prepared the propeller and am working on the external fuel tank. The drop tank came without a proper seam, so I stretched sprue and gently glued it down. #histscalemodels #scalemodels

Pretty common error, even with experience. I typically will try and take the leaks out by scraping first, very lightly, with a sharp rounded blade and then hand paint the remains with a pointy brush. (Often adding some additional paint weathering at the same time to make the repairs less noticable)

#HistScaleModels #ModelKits Progress was achieved. I ran into problem of spraying top layer of sea grey too thinned. "Lapse of judgement" when thinning it (+ new thinner) and it seeped under masking tape at various places. I covered the leaks but it resulted in some uneaven surfaces.

It does feel good to shift into paint mode after so long cutting plastic. Primed Mr. Surfacer 1500 Black and then a blend of AK RC NATO Brown, Rotbraun, and Flat Black for a rust layer and speckled it with AK 3rd Gen Dark and Medium Rust. Figures cleaned up and primed as well. #histscalemodels
