"I'm on bluesky, forgive me, for I have winned" Sorry about that, it is so sad it could actually be funny Don't blame though, as the idea came from @souppyyy.bsky.social

Very saddened to hear of Tony Todd's passing, he was one of Dota's most prolific and unique voice actors. His death along with Sam A. Mowry's earlier this year hurts. Tony 's portrayal of Kurn in Star Trek TNG was also a stand out performance. I'm shocked to see him gone so soon.

Today would have been Carl Sagan's 90th birthday. He wrote this in 1995. Carl was absolutely right. #CarlSaganDay

I have a foreboding of an America in my children's or grandchildren's time - when the United States is a service and information economy; when nearly all the key manufacturing industries have slipped away to other countries; when awesome technological powers are in the hands of a very few, and no one representing the public interest can even grasp the issues; when the people have lost the ability to set their own agendas or knowledgeably question those in authority; when, clutching our crystals and nervously consulting our horoscopes, our critical faculties in decline, unable to distinguish between what feels good and what's true, we slide, almost without noticing, back into superstition and darkness. The dumbing down of America is most evident in the slow decay of substantive content in the enormously influential media, the 30-second sound bites (now down to 10 seconds or less), lowest common denominator programming, credulous presentations on pseudoscience and superstition, but especially a kind of celebration of ignorance.

When 45 won in 2016, I started a protest zine series called Take Comfort Take Care, filled with art, prose, and poetry of peoples feelings about the election. Until I consider if I want to do a redux for 2024, here's a link to the zines our community made. There's power in art. tctcstl.wordpress.com

anyway, reptiles on a fake sketchbook

snakes, lizards, crocs, and turtle pencil sketches on a fake sketchbook. honestly, i think my tweets arent very interesting for people with impaired vision, but im doing my best. but you know what else has impaired vision and needs people to help them? web crawlers that gather text-image pairs and put them into datasets to train image generators. ALT text is one common way of getting these text-image pairs because usually, people accurately describe the image in ALT text in the interest of helping their fellow man, which ALSO makes it useful for training image generators. i could nightshade the image to help prevent that, but since i havent done that, the next best thing i can do is put as noise into the alt text as possible to confuse the robots.

Photo of grey cat sitting, arms lifted towards the light streaming in at a window. Looks like she's communing with god or controlling the weather. The room is filled with steam from a shower, but it looks like a mystical fog
