Ahh just realized why I’m an emotional live wire all of a sudden. Sunday is the anniversary of my dad passing. It was 2004, I was 18 and off starting my freshman year of college. My sister was 16. He wasn’t perfect but he loved us and busted his ass for us and deserved better than what he got.

Yeah my dad laid tile and did carpentry when my sister and I were kids (divorced but he’d have us on weekends). Developed diabetes in his 30s and then right around 50 he got a staph infection that nearly killed him. He recovered but died 4 years later after being denied an organ transplant…
