This was in Michael Russell’s latest book in his Stefan Gillespie series (a brilliant look at Irish history in 30s & 40s) which left me wondering- was it Dev or his sec who called to German Minister in Dublin w condolences on Hitler’s death?
The British Union of Fascists… has instructed me to write to your Excellency to express its deep appreciation that the secretary to the President of Eire called on the
German minister in Dublin to express condolences on behalf of the President on the death of Adolf Hitler… and to convey its gratitude to the government of Eire for this honouring the memory of the greatest German in history. This was the very first effective treatment for OCD, which had hitherto been regarded as incurable. It’s still a fundamental technique of treatment, SIXTY years after it was published. Revolutionary. 1 in about 75 people suffer from OCD; few know what’s it’s really like. #OCDireland

Beyond just brexit, this also should have consequences for Boris Johnson...and so many others, including the DUP in Northern Ireland, who refused to name the source of their Dark Money to promote brexit. Like I said, this announcement from the PM about, russian interference, is HUGE. 2/2
Boris Johnson's "nyetl" on Russian influence in UK elections
Boris Johnson is asked during a Commons
committee appearance whether he has seen
any evidence suggesting Russia had
successfully meddled in UK elections or the
EU referendum.
After prompting by a senior civil servant, the
foreign secretary replies "nyet" - Russian for no
- adding in English "not a sausage".

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-50275383No probe into BBC Spotlight's DUP 'dark money' claims

The Electoral Commission has said it will not investigate allegations made in a BBC Spotlight programme about the Democratic Unionist Party's (DUP) campaign in the EU referendum.

The programme raised questions about whether or not the party had declared any joint spending with other Leave campaign groups.

But the commission found it did not have the grounds to open an inquiry.
