Justice probe into TV networks rests on thin legal grounds, legal experts say
The Justice Department's antitrust investigation into five TV networks was triggered by their pause of White House pool coverage. Legal experts say portraying that as an illegal boycott is spurious.

#ResistanceRoots “Democracy is based upon the conviction that there are extraordinary possibilities in ordinary people.” — Harry Emerson Fosdick
Dr. Harry Emerson Fosdick. Fosdick was a liberal protestant leader who used his platform as pastor of Manhattan’s Riverside Church and his popular weekly radio program to push back against the rise of totalitarianism in the 1930s. Fascists were consolidating power, and dictators claimed that ordinary citizens were too weak or chaotic to govern themselves. They argued that societies needed a “strongman” autocrat to thrive. This quote comes from Fosdick’s sermon, “A Confession of Faith in Democracy,” in which he argued that the U.S. did not need a dictator — it needed a rejuvenated faith in the capabitility of the common person. He argued that a political system must trust and empower individuals, rather than rule them through fear and force. Fosdick’s profound belief in the everyday citizen made him an inspiration to the next generation of civil rights leaders. MLK regularly drew from Fosdick’s writings to power his own moral arguments for equality.

A lot of Covid era things about teaching have recovered &/or gotten mostly better again, as we've moved past the generation that missed their last 2 years of high school. The fact that ~10-15% of students now consider deadlines to be completely negotiable &/or unimportant is, alas, not one of them.

Again, we don't need chapters about "what DOGE might have been if the people involved had had any decency at all." We need to send these people to jail forever for unprecedented crimes. We really need to <not> spend anytime on "right idea, wrong execution" right now (bsky.app/profile/mcop...).

🚨President Z is taking out “data centers” that run Putin’s bot farms just three weeks before the U.S. midterms. After the third strike on Yandex's data center, Russian bot activity dropped to zero. This is why Trump and Musk are calling for President Z’s removal. It has nothing to do with diesel.

.......... so? How can Russia sell to the USA what it is not producing itself, because the infrastructure is so severely impacted? Russia requires this same energy for its citizens (not that Vlad cares about them) and also needs it for its war in Ukraine... How is it possible? It is not.

Respectfully, no, Ukraine has not struck every refinery in Russia, though its long-range drone campaign has hit dozens of facilities and disabled roughly 51% to 60% of Russia's total oil refining capacity..........1/3.
