CW: body horror, Look Outside spoilers! Finally considering this dang thing Done. Post-Promise ending but I'll otherwise leave the story of this painting up to interpretation. I like to think some nature persisted. Some trees have teeth, but life goes on. There's beauty in it... #lookoutside #art

A big digital painting featuring a what-if post-ending scene of the game Look Outside. Sam, Lyle, Rat Child, Joel, and Sophie are all out in the forest. Sam is chatting with Lyle, Joel is pointing at teeth on a fallen log. In the background a scary but benign tentacle creature lurks.

it mightn't look like it but I'm stressed out every day at this point, hence my avoidance of socials... if my bird looks like she hasn't had any sleep in a while, it's VERY ACCURATE #art

Digital doodle of an anthropomorphic goldfinch looking slightly unhinged and giving a thumbs up.

still trying to be here less b u t Look Outside. Etc. I've been spitballing making a Lyle cosplay and make it like a shoulder puppet/Big Bird style. But it might be a lot... I might just cosplay Hellen instead cuz I kinda am shaped like her already. Plus making fake garden shears would be fun...

Still on hiatus, trying to be on social media less. But in the meantime, here's Sam Look Outside because I'm very proud of how he's turning out and wanted to share him with the world! I went with a bit of my own style for him... #blender3d #art #lookoutside

Screenshot of a 3d model of Sam from the game Look Outside. He's a slobby man with a purple sweater, one arm, spiky hair, and a scared expression.

This particular bit from Stephen King's On Writing sticks with me. Imagine sending angry letters to a writer for... making a villain do bad things. These people would make excellent cartoon reviewers teehee

Passage from On Writing, by Stephen King, describing the villain from his story The Dead Zone killing a dog, and the subsequent angry letters he received for it. To this he responds the characters and dog weren't real and that he wanted to establish the character as being dangerous.

Exhausted for no reason a lot recently and I do not know why. Sore eyes too. Anyone have experience with that? I sleep alright, no clue why it doesn't help my tiredness. Buh!!!

I am Obsessed with media that, upon deeper research, makes you go "how did they even manage to get this released?" E.g. Conker's Bad Fur Day, Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame...

When people say they’re anti-AI, they’re clearly talking about generative AI in the arts and LLM slop that C-Suite jackoffs want to use to replace them. You know this. I know this. Everyone knows this. So the “then don’t use spellcheck if you hate AI” talking point is disingenuous horseshit.

Holly Bear ʕ e ᴥ eʔ 📄📚 @bearhybrid.art · 20/08/2026

Don't feel bad if your first inclination is to go into 'Fix it' mode. Even a "That's rough buddy" is a good start to getting your friend out of their funk. Listen, ask em about it rather than comparing it to a problem you had/have. I have to work on this too #Oldbearcomics #TheBearMinimum

Text reads: It is a kind impulse to want to fix a friend's problems, when they come to you upset. Offering advice to someone struggling can be very helpful.
Art depicts: friendbear approaching Holly with a cloud of gloom hovering over their sad expression. Holly is concerned and worried about them.

Text reads: However people often want their feelings validated and to be comforted first. This can lead to more frustration and misunderstandings if you jump right into 'fix it mode'.
Art depicts: Friendbear looking worse with a darker cloud as Holly bear offers solutions blindly goinf through a checklist saying: 'if its like this you could do that, or...'

Text reads: Taking some time to listen and commiserate can really make all the difference
Art depicts: Holly hugging friendbear and listening to their complaints while their sad cloud diminishes.

Text reads: Once their mood has improved a little, it is easier to plan and find solutions, if they are in need of them.
Art depicts: Holly bear asking if friendbear is ok through picture inference, Friendbear nodding in agreement the same way.

There is a secret code in Donkey Kong 64 that will only play a funny noise, and nothing else. Standing next to a torch in K. Lumsy's room and pressing C-Up, D-Down, C-Left, D-Right, C-Down, D-Up, C-Right and D-Left will make a burp sound... and that's it. There are no other effects.

Randomly remembering the 90s trend of releasing music CDs ostensibly themed after popular media of the time but then they would just have random songs on there that were popular. Maybe one actual theme from the thing if you're lucky. Donkey Kong had one. There's a bunch of Sonic ones too! It's funny

Finch (bird) @finchfinchfinch.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

Something I always noticed was that Donkey Kong 64 randomly changed the iconic Donkey Kong font and then no subsequent DK game ever used that one again. But it does set it apart from the Country games in a way! Also Jungle Beat which looks similarly different, reflecting its new direction.

I'm very leery about people throwing around the term "Disney adult" cuz often I see people using it on people they find Le Cringe and then it's just... autistic women. Ableism for fun and profit, huh? Come on man

Finally I am 3d printing again. Upgraded my Ender with a CR Touch and a a metal extruder and it prints beautifully. Took me a lot of trail and error... installing the CR Touch made me accidentally pull my Z axis rod out whoops but it's back in its proper spot and it works!! I feel smart!

As much as I love Diddy Kong Racing and its wacky crew of characters, my vegan ass hates that Drumstick is named that. I propose a new guy: Long Pork the human. I made this joke before but I'm doing it again

I think Uncle Grandpa deserves more credit. I legitimately find it a super funny show and I love all the random characters. Weird Man and Evil Wizard are standouts. It helps the Dutch dub was pretty good too. Je lijkt wel een mislukte kaastosti met kaas uit een spuitbus!~
