August 17th is black cat appreciation day, so I've been appreciating Sir Barnabas the Chicken Nugget. He snuggles up with me at bedtime and pulls my hand close to his chest while I fall asleep. Sometimes he demands to be held like a baby being burped. He weighs 17lbs and lands like a bowling ball

As a single parent getting by in one of the most expensive parts of the U.S. on only my one income and with no external support, I'm convinced that vacations are just things that other people get to have. They sound like a neat idea though 🤷🏻‍♀️😂
