it’s…going. had some serious ups and down and my sole motivation has been @ffwritingchallenge.bsky.social ‘s tracker. had some excellent days and some crappy ones. taking breaks has been helping though. as much as a couple of days of zeroes gets to me, it’s not lost on me that after a few days

jm trying to convince hsk that doing all that with your "enemy" is not normal? phew, an impossible task if you ask me. just don't think about why they can't bear existing without messing with each other. (it's deff not bc they are hungry for each other's attention...hahah.....)

“I’m not upset by the things that he said in the past,” Hoseok says because it feels wrong to say that he has a lot of thorns in his side. He mainly has one left by the rosebay but he doesn’t care about all the others.
“You should be,” Jimin insists. “You got upset because he called you a puppy a couple of weeks ago.”
“Then I made him lose a chess game and told him that I’m going to take him on a walk like a dog.”
“What about when he tripped you in front of that foreign ambassador two years ago?”
“I pushed him into a bush a couple of hours later.”
“And when he stole your date at the spring dinner party three years ago?”
“I didn’t even like her that much,” Hoseok scoffs, then lifts his index finger into the air for extra emphasis. “And you helped me with puncturing his car’s tires.”

Been working to finish off this chapter for Hope Fest, 'cause I'm so close to having it done! In which: Seokjin is clingy, Hoseok has spent too much time studying, and Alphas always have to have a say...

Seokjin huffed in Hoseok's ear and then turned the pair of them to face away from him. "Ignore the Alpha, he has no part in this conversation," he grumbled. "This, my dear little Seokie, is between the two of us."

Hoseok wasn't sure if that was a good thing, given how Seokjin's scent had shifted from fruity brightness to something more like wine grapes. Frozen wine grapes, too, in fact - never a good sign with Jin. Meekly, he said, "I never meant to offend, Beta -"

Seokjin sucked in a breath, as if he'd been punched or similarly wounded.

"- Seokjinnie," Hoseok quickly revised. He rubbed openly at his eyes and was - as was always best with him - honest: "I fear I have been studying all our connected family relationships for so long that it's all I can see right now. Everything is all - lines. Trees. Cousin of a cousin of a cousin of a - "

Seokjin gave him an all-over, yet gentle, squeeze, and the wine grape notes mellowed, a hint of buoyant pink pepper creeping back in. "Oh right, your great task for the summer - preparation for the Market," he said, voice still in his ear but much softer now. "I guess I hadn't realized how deep into that work you've been."

Namjoon cleared his throat behind them, and Hoseok could almost hear Seokjin roll his eyes. "I'm not even paying attention to that, Joon."

Hoseok couldn't help another giggle, and quietly he murmured, "I see Alpha Kim has much to say today."

"As with so many Alphas, Seokie, they always have to pee on every little thing," Seokjin murmured back to him. "But if I read his point right, he's insinuating that the upcoming Market has had us all busy this summer." A soft sigh against his ear. "And he would be right about that The burdens of presenting and getting older, it seems, is the responsibilities waiting to claim us."

heads up for gender changes // ♀️♀️ yuri yeonbin 🥰 what i have been working on for... a month... it keeps getting longer... will i finally progress, will i do it for yuri yeonbin (yes i will!!) #loves_lite

soobin grabs yeonjun’s hand and squeezes it so quickly that yeonjun would have missed it if she weren’t involved. her bashfulness takes on a more flustered edge; yeonjun feels it rolling off soobin in time with the slow, heavy breeze dragging through the tennis court and roiling up more heat.

“you’re pretty. really pretty.” yeonjun pushes her fingers up between soobin’s, squeezing again. “m’not just saying it to be nice, soobin-ah. i really mean it.”

“i know,” soobin says quickly. not only is it adorable but it makes yeonjun much happier than soobin denying it or brushing her off. soobin returns the squeeze, pulling yeonjun’s hand off her thigh. she presses yeonjun’s palm against her stomach, soft and hot even though they’ve been here long enough to cool off. “thank you.”

yeonjun leans in and bites soobin’s cheek.

“oh my god!” soobin yells, failing to squirm away from yeonjun’s teeth until yeonjun lets her.

“sorry,” yeonjun chimes. she doesn’t mean it, which earns her a pinch. “ow!” so soobin can tell, huh?
