In which, during a particularly tough winter, prince Hoseok is mandated to stay in his palace while the king goes touring the kingdom to help the troops with the snow storms and bad weather, and guard Yoongi must guarantee that Hoseok stays safe. "You can bite me if you want" is the one line that makes me laugh each time. oblivious human hsk just telling yg to give into his urges and bite him if he wants is so... sjsjsksk bro doesn't even know what a mating bite is 😭

“I know. It is you,” Yoongi sighs, averting his eyes to the floor then lifting them back up to Hoseok’s eyes and then down to his neck. “With my rut coming up and all… Since you’re going to be there, as always, I was wondering if you would be willing to cover your neck from now on just until the rut is over.”

Hoseok can’t stop the frown from weighing over his forehead. He thought that the shoulder and neck area is an important part for Yoongi because of scenting and all. He loves burying his face into Hoseok’s neck during or after sex. It wouldn’t be the same if Hoseok wore a scarf or something.

“I’m not against it, but why?” Hoseok asks slowly.

Yoongi looks more nervous at that but he replies anyway, “So the temptation won’t be too strong.”

“Temptation?” Hoseok cocks his head. He has no idea what Yoongi is talking about.

“Yes, the temptation to… bite you,” Yoongi explains carefully as though that’s supposed to mean anything to Hoseok. Biting is a bit kinky, sure, but it’s not stranger than Hoseok being into getting knotted despite being a human. He doesn’t see why Yoongi wants to resist this particular temptation.

“Okay. Why do you want to bite me?”

A heavy sigh leaves Yoongi’s lips, blinking hard, and Hoseok is feeling like he is missing something big and important.

“It’s not exactly me. It’s my alpha,” Yoongi says, sounding defeated. “He loves you and wants you and… It happens in relationships. Hoseok presses his lips together, taking a moment to think about what Yoongi just said to him. Try as he might, he can’t see why this would make Yoongi nervous. His alpha loves and wants Hoseok so much and he’s making Yoongi feel things that he hasn’t before? That doesn’t sound too bad. Hoseok even feels touched that every part of Yoongi accepts and adores him as he is. It’s a beautiful thing.

“I see. You can bite me if you want,” Hoseok says easily, his shoulders rising in a small shrug. Yoongi’s eyes widen, a hand covering his mouth before he turns away abruptly. His back looks rigid.
