Watched Herostratus and the BFI blu-ray has pretty much all of Don Levy's short films on disc, I regret nothing

Far too many Letterboxd diary entries for one day

Great thread here, and I'll add to it that my experience suggests this literacy crisis extends to non-textual media as well.

One that defines me and one that made me a lifelong gamer are two different things. Supaplex was the first spark, I was thinking about it constantly as a kid, it's the sole reason I wanted my own computer. Thief: The Dark Project defines me both as a personality & a writer / designer.

In 1973, two 15-year-olds with a Super8 camera made “Nightmare,” a 4-minute adaptation (in the loosest possible sense) of “The Shadow Over Innsmouth.” Now it’s on YouTube, and it’s got the eerie look that a million “analog horror” creators strive to make youtu.be/_DNHDMXeLSM?...

Watched TANK GIRL (1995), possibly the most 90's film ever, pure unfiltered dork insanity. It's like Mad Max directed by Bravo magazine or whatever equivalent you have over there. Of course it has Malcolm McDowell as a villain. Petty & Watts are insane. Ice-T as a mutant kangaroo. Everything.

Septemer always reignites my cinephilia. Bought some cool blu-rays too, for the first time like in a decade.

Letterboxd last 4 watched:
- The Fifth Seal
- Fruitvale Station
- I Was a Teenage Serial Killer
- Closely Watched Trains
