Watched Herostratus and the BFI blu-ray has pretty much all of Don Levy's short films on disc, I regret nothing

Fiam kilencedik évére végre türelmes filmnéző partnerré avanzsálódott, úgyhogy tonnaszám veszem a vállalható középhaladó kidslopot.

Watched TANK GIRL (1995), possibly the most 90's film ever, pure unfiltered dork insanity. It's like Mad Max directed by Bravo magazine or whatever equivalent you have over there. Of course it has Malcolm McDowell as a villain. Petty & Watts are insane. Ice-T as a mutant kangaroo. Everything.

Septemer always reignites my cinephilia. Bought some cool blu-rays too, for the first time like in a decade.

Letterboxd last 4 watched:
- The Fifth Seal
- Fruitvale Station
- I Was a Teenage Serial Killer
- Closely Watched Trains

Since I've been watching most films with Hungarian dub when I was growing up, my first encounter with Tim Curry's voice was in Gabriel Knight 3... smooth talking bastard. Rest in peace.

I'm going through my collection of cheap old PC games and I found my old Windows 8 laptop that still works (!). It has a disc drive. So I uh... started testing 1998-2005 discs and I can actually play a good chunk of them offline. It even recognizes the DualSense and has HDMI output. Wealth.

Another lucky shmup find on the used market, published by Strictly Limited, surprisingly cheap though, under the retail price (case is damaged but the cover is intact, so I'll just replace it). Disc contains Eschatos, Judgment Silversword + Cardinal Sin. Very solid, fundamental stuff.

Lucky find: Espgaluda II for the Switch. I didn't plan on having so many Cave shmups, but they just come to me. Two-sided poster is a nice bonus.

Watched Friedkin's The French Connection for the first time. It asymptotically inches towards both cool and bleak, arriving at somewhere else. Then I watched Frankenheimer's sequel. Wild. Like Home Alone 2, RoboCop 2. Naturally, I liked it. Also, how come the hot chemist isn't in anything else?
