It's Banned Books Week. My fellow librarians, listen carefully: your book displays should be almost exclusively writers who are alive. Yes, I know classic literature is also being banned, but most of those authors are dead. They aren't suffering financially from bans and challenges.

fur affinity has been running for 21 years, is one of the largest archives of queer art online, and one of the few art sites that has not switched to some kind of infinite feed bullshit and it's being strangled over "adult" art. suspiciously wealthy furries now is your time to paypig for culture

What makes this situation frustrating is that the bar for what advertisers consider “adult content” is very very low. For example they consider plus size characters, two characters hugging, and “barbie doll nudity” to be adult content, despite these being normal everyday things that are not adult at all. This is why you may see other sites with restrictions on how characters can’t be posed or dressed “too provocatively.”

We receive a daily list of items that they have flagged as violations and have to sort through them. If they’re legitimate violations, we re-rate them. If they aren’t, we don’t touch them. Submissions that are not violations of our policies are still held against us.

We have had many email conversations, Zoom calls, and even an in-person meeting with representatives to help resolve this to no avail.

Permafrost: A Yuri!!! on Ice Zine @permafrostyoizine.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

❄️Cover Reveal❄️ With just a little more than a week until pre-orders open, it's time for a reveal! We're thrilled to share our zine's incredible cover art, illustrated by the amazing @alexsiple 💖‼️ Pre-orders open on 6 October at 11AM UTC-5! ⛸️🌟 #yurionice #fanzine

A frosted, dark blue graphic with swirling white accents for Permafrost: A Yuri!!! On Ice Zine. It reads: Cover Reveal. Below it, an image of a book laid flat to showcase the front and back cover of the zine which all follow the colour scheme of blue, green, magenta, and accents of white, yellow, and shades of the main colours all coloured on a mainly black page colour. On the left, or the back cover, Otabek, Phichit, JJ and Christophe are in their skating program costumes in figure skating poses, coloured in shades of blue, green, and magenta. Around them are multi-pointed stars of varying sizes, and columns with varying patterns. Above them, is written “See you next level!”. On the right side, or the front, a frame of shards reminiscent of spreading frost in light and dark blue create a frame encasing three panels of Victor, Yuuri, and Yurio, all in poses from their skating programs. Above them, it reads “Permafrost” with the subtitle, “a Yuri on Ice zine”. Cover Art by: Alex Siple

FYI, from Toocheke. They added a Tapas migration feature.

A screenshot of an email that says

Import Your Tapas.io Comics Into WordPress
You may have seen the news about Tapas shutting down. If you or anyone you know publish there, you’re probably wondering what happens to all of your comics and years of work.

We’ve just added a new import feature to Toocheke Companion (available in version 2.23+) that can move an entire Tapas series into WordPress for you — including episodes, images, thumbnails, and original publish dates.

It keeps everything in order, so you don’t have to manually copy and paste hundreds of pages.
