Set during their partnership on Hextech. Viktor and Jayce are standing side by side on a beach, which is covered in a thin layer of snow, and they’re carrying their luggage. They’re bundled up in thick winter coats, gloves, and scarves, their hair ruffled by the cold wind. They’re letting out light puffs of hot breath, indicating how freezing the weather is. Around them, the chalk cliffs are covered in snow, and the sky and the sea are an unpleasant grey: it’s clearly not the right season for a trip to the beach. On the left, Viktor looks frankly annoyed, teeth gritted and brows furrowed. On the right, Jayce lets out a resigned sigh and forces out a defeated smile. He’s holding a brochure and two golden invitation tickets for a thermal cure in a luxury resort. A band-aid can be spotted on his cheek. Looks like our scientists don’t want to be there, so why are they freezing outside? The answer is given in a small contextual element: in the top left corner, a small, round comic-style panel shows Jayce and Viktor, drawn as funny-looking chibi, being (literally) kicked out of the lab by Heimerdinger. “Get out, my boys!”, he says. Said boys are dirty with soot and grease, dark smoke is escaping from the lab, and they look pretty confused at the sudden expulsion. No more science for a while: they’re forced to take some holidays!

Change of scenery: Viktor and Jayce are sitting side by side in one of the thermal pools of the resort, decorated with sculpted columns, teal and light blue tones contrasting with reddish-brown and ivory. Around our two scientists, the air is clouded with puffs of steam because of the simmering hot water. On the left, Viktor is relaxing, reclined on a backrest against the wall of the pool, his fingers a bit reddened by the heat (blame his bad circulation). He’s talking nonstop about the buffet and gesturing with his hand. Above him, six speech bubbles depict the parts of the menu that he enjoyed the most: honey pastries, chocolate fudge cake, biscuits with fruit filling, and no less than three different shrimp based dishes, all surrounded by sparkles. Viktor is completely absorbed in what he’s saying, his eyes closed. On the right, Jayce is slightly hunched, looking tense, his lips shut tight. He’s blushing furiously as he steals a glance at Viktor next to him. Droplets of sweat are running down his temple, his forehead, and his body, but it looks like the ambient heat is not the only thing to blame. After all, Viktor is sprawled right next to him in nothing but his swimsuit, his chest and stomach fully exposed, and it’s the first time that Jayce sees him like that… A light puff of hot breath forms in front of Jayce’s nose. Good luck, Jayce!

New pool, new priorities. In another area of the thermal resort, Jayce and Viktor are busy repairing one of the vents of the pool. However, they both look quite comical: they’re still wearing the required spa bathrobes, but they also managed to get their lab goggles from who knows where for the occasion! On the right, Jayce is kneeling on the tiles and bends over the edge of the pool as he focuses as much as he can, his tongue sticking out in the process. His lab goggles are firmly secured on his face as he sticks his hand in the vent. Little drops of sweat are rolling on the parts of his body that are revealed by the bathrobe and his rolled up sleeves. Sitting next to him, on the right, Viktor is holding a screwdriver in one hand and taking off his goggles with the other hand. His cane is lying on the floor, against the grey tile wall. The toolbox behind Viktor seems to be long forgotten, judging by his wide eyes and blushing cheeks as he watches Jayce in action. The air is still clouded with steam, but he’s also letting out a puff of hot breath while he appreciates – or rather ogles – his partner’s biceps and thighs on full display. Are Jayce’s muscles actually sparkling or is that just Viktor’s brain playing tricks on him? Take a guess.

Back to the hotel. Jayce and Viktor are sprawled side by side on the double bed of their room, seen from above. Their heads are not even resting on the (many) pillows, and their bed is covered in the usual mess they make: on the left, next to Jayce, a tray is filled with a pretty napkin, a small bowl of fresh fruit, a plate of biscuits, and a cup of hot beverage. On the right, several papers and documents are scattered next to Viktor: the buffet’s menu, Jayce’s notebook with another page of scientific notes on top, a champagne menu, as well as a flyer and a ticket for the local aquarium. In the center of the bed, Jayce and Viktor are lying on their backs, holding hands and looking at each other with levels of yearning previously unknown to man. Being lost in each other’s eyes like this is making them blush all over. They’re still wearing their bathrobes, which are loosely tied around them, thus slightly revealing Jayce’s chest, while Viktor’s left shoulder and nipple are on full display. With his free hand, Jayce is gripping his bathrobe tightly because he feels a bit overwhelmed by the proximity, his feelings for Viktor, and the new turn in their partnership. Against his chest, Viktor is cradling the pebble that Jayce found on the beach for him earlier, a precious gift.

"Viktor raises an eyebrow at him. ""Is that rhetorical? Or some form of Piltover humor you people have developed?"" Jayce opens his mouth to argue but is cut off as Viktor tries to pull himself up into a sitting position, pain and anger warring on his face. ""How am I feeling? I was attacked, violently. I was unconscious for who knows how long, bleeding out, and then transported via whatever means you devised. How do you think I am feeling?!""

Jayce stares at Viktor as he finishes speaking, his breathing starting to pick up as the spark of anger that had fueled his rant sputters out. Jayce holds back the instinct to reach out, to attempt comfort, knowing that it would be rejected. He sits there and watches as Viktor's breathing slowly evens out, waiting for that moment before responding.
