Two people visiting Cincinnati from out of state went to the ED at Children’s Hospital and spent 4 hours there. They were sick with measles. Those who were exposed have been notified. This is been happening repeatedly throughout the U.S. And is why vaccine choices affect everyone.

So, green mucus = dead neutrophils + dead viruses + water. It’s basically the battlefield debris of your immune system winning the war. The color doesn't come from the bacteria. It comes from your cells fighting them.

Neutrophils have a secret weapon: a green enzyme called Myeloperoxidase (MPO). MPO contains heme iron. It helps create bleach-like chemicals to kill bacteria and viruses. When these neutrophils die after doing their job, they release their green guts into your mucus.
