Last month I shared my letter to West Lancs Borough Council to ask for more information about the poor waste collection service. This is the response I received. WLBC have said they are working on how to improve this service for the future and I’ll be holding them to account on this promise.

I’ve just had the unusual experience of returning from holiday in Cumbria (cool, green and often wet) to a baked landscape in Somerset that looks more like Tuscany or Andalusia. Life feels a bit back-to-front. Maybe all of my future summer holidays will involve going north instead of south.

Free bus travel for disabled people was brought in in 2006 by the Labour/Lib Dem Scottish Government. Kind of amazing that the SNP is still claiming credit for things other people did two decades ago.

He appears to be, because his argument doesn't acknowledge the 20-year guaranteed prices that were required to get developers to fund Scotland's renewables investments, which mean our renewables are as expensive or more expensive per KWh than the gas prices which he claims they would undercut.
