body/fitness cw I'm nearly 7 weeks post hip surgery and my big hamstrings, glutes, and quads have gone. :( I knew this would happen, and hopefully I will heal up and be able to start building them up again in a couple months, but it's still deflating (literally!).

This is correct - personal experiences of needing social services makes people, including policymakers, more opposed to imposing administrative burdens (which is how they are breaking SNAP and Medicaid) academic.oup.com/jpart/articl...

I got a pedometer and have been counting steps of all my activity, including mainly pottering around my apartment. I have learned 1000 steps a day is both my most typical amount right now (post surgery) and also the limit before I get worse hip pain. I did 2000 today and it's Bad, folks. 😮‍💨

Still eating low fodmap while I'm off my ibs med while I'm taking naproxen post-surgery, but with the groceries a friend delivered for me yesterday I made a very yummy breakfast sandwich 😋

A porcelain white and floral pasta bowl, but with cut cantaloupe and a green salad on the side, then a breakfast sandwich which has two fried eggs, two pieces of Canadian bacon, two pieces of cheddar cheese, mayo, mustard, and a green sauce made from spinach cilantro sour cream garlic salt lemon juice and pecans. I am still furious about this, so let's go: my abortion story aka why I am not dead yet. I intentionally got pregnant in 2015. I was so excited to be a mom, took extra care with nutrition and safety (I had a heavy-duty job at the time). Normal first-trimester nausea and tiredness, nothing crazy.

very interesting doing PT now and feeling my right (non operative) hip popping constantly while my left hip stays quiet. I have the same issue on right hip that I got surgery on left hip for and this underscores the surgery (so far) actually did something
