In a private discussion today this came up: “We need the January 6th Commission hearings, for DOGE.” One could do a lot with NIH and NSF alone. There are clinical trials that ended, patients that died, young people leaving the US… and bad stuff that happened inside the agencies.

I quickly quit the second book because of its disgusting colonialist attitude towards China. The first book was all European conflicts. Maybe the gross ways of talking about other cultures was only the characters, and the plot will prove them wrong, but it was too uncomfortable to find out.
