Manchmal braucht es nicht viel zum Glücklichsein: Berge, ein stiller See und das erste Licht des Tages. 🏔️

Ein ruhiger Bergsee liegt im kargen, felsigen Hochgebirge. Im Hintergrund erhebt sich ein mächtiger, dunkel geschichteter Berg mit einem weitläufigen Gletscher. Die tief stehende Sonne scheint links hinter einem Bergrücken hervor und erzeugt einen markanten Sonnenstern mit langen Lichtstrahlen. Das warme Morgenlicht beleuchtet Teile der Felsen und den Gletscher, während der See im Vordergrund dunkelblau und nahezu spiegelglatt das Bergmassiv reflektiert. It hand along, sharp, orange beak, darker on top near the head. I had a white head with a large, dark stripe across the eye, ending is a crest at the back of the head. Its neck is tucked into its body and is a greyish white. Its back and wings are a light grey, with a darker grey at the edges of the wings. Its legs and tail are obscured by a mound of exposed riverbed in the foreground. The background is of the river, which has a brown tinge but is clear enough to see a sandy bottom near the bird, darker elsewhere.

A Dunnock taken in close up. The bird is facing the camera directly and takes up almost the entire height of the shot, the small wooden post it is perched on can just be seen at the bottom of the picture.
It has a grey head and neck with brown cheek patches. Its sides are brown with black streaks and its chest is grey, turning to white underneath. It is facing the camera directly, so that both eyes can been seen and it has its feathers puffed out to give it a very round appearance.
The background is an out of focus white, with a dark stripe in the upper left hand corner

Zahlreiche Meteore ziehen als feine, unterschiedlich lange Lichtspuren über das Firmament, viele davon mit einem zarten grünlichen Schimmer. Am rechten Bildrand steht die Silhouette eines großen, alten Baumes, daneben eine kleine, verwitterte Holzscheune. This image shows shows a sea eagle in flight in front of the misty, rocky islands of the Lofoten Archipelago in Norway. The eagle appears in the middle third of the image vertically and just to the right of center horizontally, flying from right to left with its wings fully spread. We have an excellent view of the details of the brown feathers of its body, wings, head and tail. Patches of white feathers appear here and there as well. Its beak is mostly yellow and sharply hooked, and its yellow claws trail below it carrying a piece of herring it has grabbed from the fjord below. In the background, part of a misty, rocky island descends from left to right in the lower left corner of the frame, colored dark grey and green. A White-crowned Sparrow getting dolled up with some Oregon Grape beakstick. Technically it violates the #BirdOfTheDay theme of #RedOrDead because the red is on the bird, but since it's an artificial enhancement I'm calling it fair play. 😂 🪶
