An explanation on why Big Walk isn't available on Xbox. bigwalk.game/xbox

Regarding Xbox

In June 2026 we announced that the release of Big Walk would be limited to computers, Switch 2 and PS5. Since then, we have received many messages and comments, asking about a future Xbox release. We would like to address those questions here:

We have made the decision not to release Big Walk on Xbox, in accordance with the Palestinian-led BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) movement’s call to boycott Microsoft, and their designation of Microsoft Games (and Xbox) as a priority boycott target. If you need help understanding our motives, we would recommend reading about why Microsoft is a BDS priority target, the successes this kind of pressure has already had on Microsoft, and especially, watching this great introductory piece by People Make Games.

It has always been our intention for Big Walk to be played by groups of friends, and we know that keeping the game off Xbox runs counter to those intentions. This decision means that some people will miss out on playing Big Walk with their friends, and we understand the disappointment we’re causing. We are disappointed too.

We would love for people to be able to play the game on Xbox, but not until Microsoft and/or Xbox have been removed as BDS boycott targets.

We’ve made this decision with the belief that meaningful change can be made in the world, that coordinated collective action can confront even the most powerful interests, and that one day, Palestine will be free.

Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,
House House

I also do VO direction and consultation if you're interested in adding VO to your game (it's a lot easier/cheaper than you think) and/or need someone to manage all that stuff. That one I do have a few more games under my belt for, including but not limited to the critically acclaimed Cryptmaster

This phrase keeps rattling around my head 🤷 #art #transrights #fuckjkr

Messy writing on the page of a sketchbook. In several different fonts, the phrase reads “we shouldn’t have to keep telling grown ass adults that the lives of real people are more important than a fucking children’s book about wizards”. The words are a mixture of black, white, blue and pink.

as a console player, a lot of my gposing, on the rare occasions when it happens, focuses mostly on shot composition and colours. lakeland’s mist or a gangos sunset, for example. stella being crowded out of the shot by her weapon has a lot of layers to it that are informed by character lore.

I'm happy I have VO work, but when every job is me taking one look at the footage and playing spot the tranny, it does make me wonder how long this career will last for me. Like, authentic casting is good, but if it's the only time you consider a marginalized actor, it's not worth much at all.

I still see a ton of folks who still love to say "Trans Rights Are Human Rights" whom continue to throw that away when it comes to them taking a job from that trans folks because "it's a popular show" or "I want money" or what have you... and that happens even from within the queer community itself.

2020 started a big wave of "EVERYONE IS WELCOME! THE DOORS ARE OPEN!" and what no one really talks about is just how FAST that door slammed closed... And if you didn't get your foot properly in? You're not part of the "IT CROWD" and you've likely been abandoned and left behind.

I have a bunch I wanna say about this, especially from my perspective of VO spaces right now, but before I do: TLDR: Ben is right, and it's not even just "now." It's just way easier to spot it now because of how connected online spaces have made us, as artists and creatives, in general. 🧵 Time:

Most of us are highly, highly dependent on collective bargaining and minimum rates to improve our lot in life. The more of us that undercut, scab, and walk all over each other, the harder it is to make a living as a voice actor without doing tons of conventions each year for autograph sales.

I feel like there's a "rot" in the voiceover industry right now. It's something that's probably always been there, but I think it's been progressively getting worse. There's this strange attitude that can basically be summed up as, "F*ck y'all. I got mine." And I'd like to talk about it. 🧵
