Pet peeve: Cd times area is what matters for efficiency, not just Cd. Companies will brag about low Cd on a bloated SUV and it’ll get reported as something impressive. For EVs the thing I actually care about is miles/kWh at different speeds, which is the result of Cd * A and drivetrain efficiency.

Great article. Your estimates for SpaceX costs are high but in the right ballpark. I am surprised or maybe just disappointed that nobody is close to being a real Starlink competitor. Starlink started in 2014 and we first launched satellites in 2018. Others have had lots of time to catch up.

A desperate and scammy email from WA Dems with a fake deadline, asking for more money. Fuck this scummy fundraising. Tell people how they can volunteer and do a better job organizing events. Many of the door knocking events I’ve been to have been poorly organized and were announed only a few days in advance.
