If the Depp-Heard fiasco didn't, the Blake Lively smear campaign should drive home an important media literacy lesson that I'm afraid many are missing: when it seems like everybody is suddenly talking about something, consider the possibility that the viral moment was engineered.

Came up with a new game idea/prototype this morning, just using 2 decks of playing cards to test the idea and it works! I played multiple games of it with my mum and we both enjoyed it. I love it when a game concept works in early iterations!

I’m always thrilled when collectors tag me in or send me photos of my work hanging in their spaces. If you have any of my art in your space feel free to tag me or send me photos! It really means a lot to me :-) If you want a print of my art just send me a message and I’ll get you a quote.

@timmiller.bsky.social just saw the chat you and @jonfavs.bsky.social had, and you mention surprise at the polls on the approval for the assassination skewed younger. One thought is, could survivorship bias also be a factor? Older people most negatively affected simply aren’t around to anymore

Picked up prints of a recent painting of mine as a friend had ordered one. These are poor photos taken in my car with the print in plastic but I am floored by how good they look, by how much it pops and looks like actual paint. Super happy!

On the surface yes, but in practical terms I feel it would be fine as it gives a lot of headroom. And given how slow my 11th gen Kindle Paperwhite is I just want something more powerful. I also want to use Procreate on e-ink :-)

Ever wondered why walking around museums is weirdly tiring? At normal speed our legs act like pendulums, swinging forward from the hip & saving us a huge amount of energy. In "museum shuffle" our muscles must do ALL the work of constant readjustment. So cake in the cafe is scientifically justified 🥳

Yeah it is mainly trying to do that although I know part of the slow refresh is due to the physical nature of the ink molecules being moved around. I’ve not tried one in person but Boox devices with high refresh rates seem to get good reviews - but they run Android which I have no experience with

I started re-reading Pandora’s Star (2004) by Peter F. Hamilton 5 days ago as Exodus does not arrive on kindle in Australia until Dec 10. Irony being I’m not likely to start Exodus until I finish the whole Commonwealth universe books and I’m not a quick reader haha 🤣

My big project: The Death Generator. It's a tool for making fake video game screenshots, just fill in new text and it'll give you a (generally) pixel-accurate image back, the correct fonts and everything. deathgenerator.com

The Mario 64 intro scene with a letter from Princess Peach, reading:
Dear Mario. Please come to the castle. I'm down bad. Yours truly-- Princess Toadstool (Peach)

CATS from the video game Zero Wing (the All Your Base Are Belong To Us game), saying: "I am Locutus of Borg. Resistance is Futile"

Dracula from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, saying to Richter "Get out of my house"

The transportation advisor from SimCity 2000, saying "YOU CAN'T STAY ON TWITTER! YOU WILL REGRET THIS!"

Lol. One week after the Economist published this chart showing the dude can't stop tweeting in the middle of the night, Elon removes time stamps from tweets.

Chart from the economist showing Elon's tweets based on time of day over time, showing him tweeting more and more and more frequently, especially after he took over Twitter. At first there's a little gap from around 4am to 10am, but it too gradually shrinks so that by now it looks like he tweets non-stop at any time of day.

Also, a picture of a mind rotting from tweeters disease.
