My phone camera (Pixel 8) sucks for concerts, especially the zoom, but I've only had it for two years and it's otherwise fine, plus my choices are limited because I have small hands. If I could guarantee I wouldn't get in trouble, a real camera like that would be tempting...

You'll get there!! When I went to Connecticut for FB in July, I had a five-part route involving four different transit systems, and everything went totally smoothly except that the PHL-NYP Amtrak train (step 3) was delayed by an hour after I'd already gotten on. 😩

Just bought two Club Passim live stream tickets for acts whose Philly shows I couldn't make it to, hell yeah. It took me a few years to go from pandemic-era live stream culture to orienting my life around seeing as much IRL live music as I can, and I still love to watch stuff at my desk.

They said they were financially insolvent and… this thing used to just literally be a message board to discuss producing a first draft in November. One of the best experiences I've had at a concert so far this year was an unamplified old-time string band in a room above an independent bookstore for $20. (Another was $100 Ticketmaster amphitheater, but still.) "More little shows" is one of my goals for next year!

Oh man, I hope you're able to go and have a good time! I went to a quiet singer-songwriter show last year while still suffering a little after having the flu, and not coughing during songs was a Challenge, so at least this is full band. And yeah, his set shouldn't be much more than 90 minutes.
