A phenomenal moment in the Senate. Eric Schmitt, R-Mo., claims he has evidence Jack Smith went to a HAWKS game in Atlanta. Smith denies it. Schmitt declares he has busted Jack Smith for perjury. Smith, vexed, says he went to HAWKEYES game in Maryland. WATCH IN FULL, UNINTERRUPTED

My family does not have a car. I commute exclusively on foot, bike and by transit. I’ve been hit by DC drivers twice, once intentionally. We need to reduce car miles, but I’m not going to let the perfect be the enemy of the good. To me, so far, the tradeoffs are worth the human safety windfall

This whole newscycle is horseshit. There are plenty of places reporters can record lawmakers, outside of the Senate chamber for good reason isn’t one of them. It is already a zoo there — adding cameras to the traffic would reduce the flow of reporting coming out of the Hill, not add to it.
