A strong nor’easter slammed CT and parts of the Northeast this weekend with rain, strong winds and coastal flooding, which resulted in tens of thousands of customers without power at times. As of Sunday afternoon, over 10,000 customers were without power across CT, Eversource reported. Learn more:

Scott Montellaro was a paramedic working out of the American Medical Response office in New Haven on 9/11. When he heard the attacks, he rushed down to New York. He saw people fleeing; cars that had been crushed or incinerated. But he also saw something that to this day, has stayed with him.

Crews worked on Sunday to restore electricity after Saturday night's heavy storms cut power to nearly 100,000 customers across CT. As of 8 a.m. Monday, Eversource said more than 30,000 customers were without power. That's down from Sunday evening, when more than 50,000 customers were without power.
