Occasional reminder that there’s no, “it’s too late, its over” for anthropogenic climate change. Every molecule of CO2 that doesn’t go into the atmosphere makes a difference. Preventing 0.1 degree of warming makes a difference. Every bit of climate resilience we build together makes a difference.

I do think about the statistic that Wellington has the highest proportion of queer people in the country, and the way the government is attacking Wellington, and wonder if there’s a connection. I think it’s clear that this isn’t the main reason, but maybe it’s playing a part

There was an article from Soatok (furry cryptographer) on how you can implement locked accounts without fundamentally changing the underlying protocol, and I’m p sure he wrote it because he was talking to a bsky engineer on how to do this. So it’s possible, and I think it is on the horizon
