The hereditary custodian of the crosier-head and coigreach of St Fillan appeared at an inquest #OTD in 1428. He was confirmed in his special rights of pursuing anywhere in Scotland goods or cattle stolen from anyone in the parish of Killin/Glendochart. 📸NMS
The bronze crosier, which was made in the 11th century, and its silver-gilt case, or coigreach, which was made later.

The Tara Brooch on display in the National Museum of Ireland. It is a beautifully decorated piece of early medieval jewellery. It is circular and studded with glass. The main featured area has two tiny human heads, with animal heads biting down above and below. The human heads are mere millimetres in size, but have individual expressions and character.

The Lewis chess-pieces are so gorgeous. C12th, walrus tusk, they're all power-players - kings, bishops, "Berserkers" (Norwegian fighters: whence our term 'berserk'). The 2nd most powerful player is a lady, the queen 💪🏽(Neil McGregor's insight there). She looks so bored! Do visit them! - Brit Museum.
