It's noticeable, too, that there wasn't a single question on the climate, at a time when Europe is experiencing catastrophic wild-fires & record-breaking heat. It's astonishing how low down the political agenda this remains in Britain, when all the environmental indicators are signalling disaster.

Pleased to say the other parties at Warwickshire County Council ensured that the Reform motion to revoke the climate emergency failed A small win following last week's larger win of 2 unitary authorities for Warws. That's the democratic solution. South Warws won't be dictated to by Reform. Phew

I heard Jesse Jackson speak in the 70's when I was a teenager in Bermuda - unforgettable. As well as the message of Black power, he was also on a mission that day against drugs. Inspiring young people to education & better things. He certainly was somebody. RIP

True, but the situation can't be changed by regulation & frameworks alone. A change of culture requires more: taking note of parental voice as well & ensuring legitimacy in governance as perceived by parents. Do they have a stake in the school? Parents are not passive consumers
