Rare books at @theulspeccoll.bsky.social, frogs in my garden, medieval nuns. These are a few of my favourite things. Went viral with a biscuit found in a copy of Augustine.

I've heard people make claims that AI would lead to a new Renaissance, but I didn't imagine it'd happen like this:
Screenshot of a Tweet from Pope Leo XIV. It reads:

"In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgen to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity."

Heron meets urban cows in the Coe Fen golden hour. @everyheron.bsky.social

So sneaky - teenager tried a free trial of an online service which then signs you up for a payable subscription. So far so normal, but this renews every four weeks (rather than monthly) this meaning you’re almost certain to miss the cancellation date 😡

Post choir baking urge so I am seeing the evening out with a warm banana, raspberry and chocolate chip muffin served with cream. Because I am a grown-up and I can.
A tray of very chunky muffins with chocolate and raspberries visible. There’s one gap where one of the muffins has been removed.
