I've successfully gotten people to delete their posts by simply replying "messed up take imo" or "weird post imo". It's remarkable and funny how people would rather disagree with or yell at people than be thought aberrant by them.

Try guiding conversations toward "how can we improve some situation in our lives by a little bit"? Maybe it's planning a get together, cleaning up a park, exercising together, etc. Despair won't stop fascism. Neither will taking a first aid (or gun safety) class, but it's a step. The despair isn't.

I just scrolled past a headline that said something like, "can religion be the answer to society's celebrity obsession" and. "Religion" is mostly a Christian hegemonic label that doesn't make sense in an decolonial context. And Jews love celebrities! Vilna Gaon? Hillel? Chasam Sofer? Rashi?

I'm reading "In Eve's Attire: Modesty, Judaism, and the Female Body" by Delphine Horvilleur, as recommended to me in a recent rosh chodesh circle, and I'm really digging it. It's a bit basic so far, as in it's also a good intro for people who don't know anything biblical interpretation, Talmud, etc.
