Inclusion, equity & diversity are GOOD things. Our society is stronger when we celebrate diversity and ensure equal access. Trying to quash human diversity and equity is the act of a small, scared, bigoted person. It makes our society weaker, and it is the wrong side of history.

In last week's torah portion, as the midwives are an excellent example of civil disobedience. The pharaoh commands them to perform an evil act – kill the Hebrew baby boys. But they refuse. Because they understand that there is such a thing as morality, and the Pharaoh must be disobeyed.
