The Russians are barbarians and should be treated as such, not as people to negotiate new business deals with to benefit corrupt oligarchs in the US.

While this is some truly bizzare shit for Trump to say, the actual tragedy here, is the audience clapping when he suggests Iran should destroy Los Angeles and San Diego. Imagine being so MAGA-pilled that you're actively cheering for the bombing of your fellow countrymen.

Latvian PM Kulbergs' party achieves a historic victory, pushing populists to the margins
With 35.3% of the vote, an unprecedented result for any political party since 1990 in the country, the centrist, pro-European and pro-Ukrainian leader can now form a coalition without the populists.

I think billionaire solipsism can account for much of the malinvestment in this obvious bubble, but I don't think it's the whole story. Rather, I think there's a whole cohort of investors who don't believe in AI, but believe that *other* people will believe in AI. 19/

I have previously written about one reason that billionaires find the AI story so compelling: at root, many billionaires just don't believe most other people are actually, fully real. How could they? Achieving billionairehood requires that you inflict pain on vast numbers of people. 13/

As *tech*, AI isn't exceptional. It's not exceptionally wicked. It's not exceptionally good. Take away the accompanying, galactic-scale stock-swindle, and we'd call AI's apps "plug-ins" and we'd use them and abuse them in the same way that we've used every other technology: www.normaltech.ai 1/
