No shade to this person (cept for staying on X) but Sauron was never on a redemption arc. He just *wanted her to believe he was.* The creepy uncanny valley Halbrand is not a recreation, because Halbrand never existed. It’s just Sauron with the illusion stripped away. It’s Sauron as he actually is.

Halbrand was the last light and warmth, the last hope of redemption he had which was denied and rejected by the Lady of the Light herself.
Halbrand was created from his weakest strength and desire to live. Let's call it his last part of Mairon.
And after stepping on the path—

of darkness and creating Annatar he cut his way to redemption and cut of every string which tied him with Mairon, student of Aulë.
That's why Halbrand will never be recreated.
He died with the last warmth in Sauron's eyes and now there is only void.
He had many names.

But the most beloved by him will never belong to him ever again.

For me it is really interesting how Sauron portrayed Halbrand in the season two.
It isn't different person with glimpse of someone, who Halbrand was. He is the same but in that uncanny valley way.
Sauron just isn't capable to recreate him again because—

I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to learn that Morfydd Clark is neurospicey. That you can be neurodivergent AND ALSO be Galadriel. She had a timer go off during an interview. She thinks Galadriel and Sauron have the same flavor of synesthesia. Bless this precious human. Bless her all day long.
