Oh the beautiful picture . Why ? Because these are (some of ) the 250 Russian soldiers who recently surendrered to Ukrainian forces . ❤️‍🩹Which means they could be later exchanged for Ukrainian defenders Russia holds captive .

So, Russia bombed another bridge in Kyiv today that connects left and right banks . It’s the 5th attack on bridges in Kyiv in these 4 days . People left stranded , can’t get to work or get back home . Nothing military about it . only Russia trying to terrorise us into submission .

We never wanted fucking war, genocide, or cruelty. We want these assholes in prison for their crimes. We know their names. We know what they've done. I'm growing sick and tired of waiting. Of sidelines. I'm tired of not being able to stop this shit. I'm tired of war criminals, rapists, facists.

He's not worried about IP theft. He's not even really worried about the safety issues AI presents. The hope is that by terrifying people about the future of AI, lawmakers will step in and pass regulatory legislation that effectively limits competition for today's top frontier labs like OpenAI.

The article focuses on speed of development in a way that seems to miss a huge part of the actual culture issue in frontier labs. He only alludes to it at the end when he talks about how they treat humanity. Maybe he’s too polite to call them sociopaths? Too complicit to condemn theft of IP?

New just now in The Atlantic: David Robinson resigned this week. He was among the longest-tenured employees at OpenAI—and oversaw safety reports on 12 frontier launches. He is very worried: “The time for trial and error is over.” You can read his essay here: www.theatlantic.com/technology/2...

We need to rephrase the whole discussion in terms of hazardous products, instead of "minds". And then we need to make sure that there's liability. A model hacks someone? Put a C-suite guy in jail. A model produces sexual harassment material? Put a C-suite guy in jail. Watch how fast things get safe

Basically using LLMs and agentic ai is a massive security risk and no one should do so basically ever and these companies should be prosecuted for hacking. Also two-party consent should extend to all electronic communications.

Establish that violations of the Emoluments Clauses and the Establishment Clause are impeachable. Establish that war crimes are impeachable. None of these require the mens rea questions that so sidetracked the first two Trump impeachments. The facts are the facts.

I'm not naive enough to actually believe this will happen, but Democrats could be preparing, right now, lists of impeachment charges against (at a bare minimum) Hegseth, Kennedy, Mullin, Patel, Blanche, & Trump, as well as Bondi, Bovino, & Noem (still worth doing!) that rely purely on public facts,

As someone who does teach con law, the idea that the Republicans on the Roberts Court are just too committed to "originalism" is farcical. You will search the opinions in Shelby County or Trump v. US (inter many alia) in vain for even the slightest trace of it

If the lessons Democrats (& democrats) draw from DOGE is “right idea, wrong implementation,” we are doomed. Everyone involved in the unprecedented crime that was DOGE needs to go to jail forever, & Democrats need to rebuild all of the programs & agencies first, not do digital management consulting 🤦‍♂️
