We spent 5 days with him -- sometimes for 12 hours a day -- capturing as much of his archive as possible (we didn't get it all, and I wanna go back one day and try). He had everything. Props, scripts, drawings. Idk the exact count, but there are at least 500 assets in this. Most never-before-seen.

"Kwaidan/怪談" (1964) answers the question of how to make interesting adaptations to stories people have heard and read hundreds of times. Answer: by having it look incredible and full of intent. The set design is fantastic. A lot of it is surrealist and dreamlike. Absolutely gorgeous stuff.
