A guy I knew in college repeated in all sincerity a story in sure he was told 873 times. It seems his dad's friend, while making a delivery in NYC, noticed a Black man at the open doors of his truck, messing with his deliverables. He used the 2x4 he carried (for just such an occasion?) to deliver...

I haven't done it - yet! - but I have mapped out that I could watch the sun rise over the Irish Sea, jump on a train and go completely across the country/island, and watch the sun set over the Atlantic Ocean that same day. I wouldn't even need to be in any particular hurry, even in late December.
